Your day pillar is the pair of characters for the day you were born: your Day Master on top, the branch it stands on below. If yours is 庚寅, here's what the app reads in it.
What you sit on: your day pillar
An axe in a spring forest
Imagine an axe resting against a tree in a spring forest. The Tiger is Wood, and for Metal, Wood is something to work. The main star is Indirect Wealth, the star of business sense and open-handed money. A little Seven Killings, pressure and nerve, and a little Indirect Resource, inner know-how, hide there too. The stage is Reset, a clean page and a fresh start. In plain words: you tend to seize chances, then begin again. This is also your partner's seat. Traditionally it brings a lively partner whom you look after.
Bold and practical, you tend to spot an opening quickly and act on it.

Palaces

Life palace
The evergreen
Pines stay green through snow when every other tree is bare. Your Life Palace holds Yang Metal over the Tiger, called Pine and Cypress Wood. It traditionally describes toughness and endurance, a life that keeps its colour through hard seasons.
You tend to stay true to yourself, even when times turn cold.
Conception palace
A pine on the mountain
Picture a pine on a cold mountainside, green all winter long. That is the traditional image for this Conception Palace, Pine and Cypress Wood. Yang Metal over the Tiger's wood makes a start that is tough and faithful.
Through hard seasons you tend to stay steady and loyal.
Na Yin
松柏木 Pine and cypress wood
Pine and cypress: endurance and long life.
